Community Response and Survey to SW Corridor LRT

Over the past 6 months residence, community leaders, and City Government have responded to the possible alignment of Light Rail Transit (LRT) along the Recreational Trail referred to as the Southwest Corridor. Response has not necessarily been negative to the idea of LRT but an overwhelming response has indicated that alignment along the recreational trail known as the Southwest Corridor has little economic value to the community and represents a misuse of a community resource. Alternative alignments need to be researched to better serve the needs of the transient users and businesses of the southwest suburbs. The following information addresses some of our community’s position and concerns over the possible alignment.
